PepMax™ C18P Proteomics LCMS Column Packing

PremierLCMS has developed a new column packing material designed specifically for high resolution, high sensitivity and high throughput proteomics LCMS applications.  This new material was designed to provide LC peptide separation performance that compliments the capabilities of modern mass spectrometers (Thermo Astral, Bruker TimsTOF, etc) to meet the most demanding proteomics applications.

The properties of this new PepMax C18P material are as follows:

Particle Size - 1.6µ Monodisperse

Pore Size - 100Å

Surface Area - 360 m 2/gram

Bonded Phase - C18/Phenyl Hybrid

Carbon Load - 18%

The uniform particle size of the PepMax silica allows a more uniform and dense column packing bed that minimizes peak broadening and ensures more stable and robust columns.  The uniform pore size and high surface area provides a higher loading capacity of peptides in the mass range from 300 - 3000+ daltons. The high carbon load and unique C18/Phenyl hybrid bonded phase results in a broader selectivity range than a conventional C18, providing better retention of small hydrophilic peptides while allowing separation and detection of large hydrophobic peptides.
